Ronda Thomas Farrell

As a leader in the development of technical integration into sports, arts and entertainment, Ronda has pioneered many firsts. The combination of her strategic thinking and creativity led to early concert broadcasts on the internet for Yahoo! and MSN, the first interactive interview with the Surgeon General for iVillage, the first live web broadcast from the White House for Sun Microsystems, and the creation of an interactive panel on film and technology from the Cannes Film Festival. Most recently, Ronda led the creation of a cause campaign to raise awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest for Medtronic Corp., a global leader in medical technology, through the first-ever commercial partnership with musician James Taylor.

In sports, Ronda's passion has been no less visible. She worked to integrate CSC's technology into the Tour de France and into its sponsorship of international cycling champions Team CSC. Also in cycling, Ronda advised AMD on its strategic positioning with Lance Armstrong and the Discovery team. In other sports, she assisted the NFL in analyzing its digital assets; and provided international guidance to Visa in the protection of its digital rights across football, horse racing and the Olympics.

Throughout her career Ronda has continued to innovate and push the strategic discipline of sponsorship. She created the unprecedented online publication, Exordium Group.Comments, to track and report on IT sponsorship internationally; she led the development of one of the first multi-lingual asset management systems available 24/7 as an ASP for Exordium clients; and continues to develop leading ROI tracking and management tools for international corporations.

Ronda is a professional speaker and author on sponsorship and technology internationally. She has led standing-room-only sessions in England, Germany, Switzerland and the US, including chairing a rousing debate on Sponsorship Revenue at the IOC World Conference on Sport and New Media in Lausanne, Switzerland. Ronda has been frequently quoted in media such as CBS, NPR, International Herald Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, USA Today and others.

Ronda practices the philosophy of doing well by doing good. She donates her expertise to non-profit organizations annually and is currently advising Hope Alliance, an international medical aide organization, and Women's Ski Jumping USA. A graduate of the University of Utah, Ronda holds a BS in Political Science with an emphasis in Speech Communications. In her spare time, she enjoys biking, skiing, and travel.
